Trent Massey is a native Texan having been born in Fort Worth.  Raised in the area, he is a 1986 graduate of North Texas State University (now UNT) where he studied real estate and insurance.  After graduation, he accepted a position at State Farm Insurance as a field property adjuster.  He was responsible for homeowners, commercial, and liability claims before adjusters began specializing.  He also served in their catastrophe unit and arson/fraud investigation unit.  After leaving State Farm he held different positions including CEO of a fire and water reconstruction company, independent adjuster, agent, and property insurance trainer. 


As a former property trainer, he has trained over 1,000 adjusters and contractors on building estimating, building damage assessment, construction, insurance policy, green buildings, and insurance software.  He has also been a past speaker on various topics across the country at several conferences for both the insurance and restoration industry, including PLRB where he was a repeat presenter at both their regional and national meetings, Restoration Industry Association speaker, Insights speaker, and claims associations.  He has created various past webinars too for the insurance industry (and some are still online today at the Academy of Insurance), National Association of Realtors, and others.  He has also been a past guest lecturer at UNT (for 5 years) and at UTD.  In 2006, he authored the first e-book for catastrophe adjusting.  In 2009, he authored the first green educational course, Green Risk Professional, for the insurance industry when he was a trainer.  

As a general contractor, Trent has an extensive background in fire and water reconstruction, hail damage repairs (re-roofs and exteriors), remodeling, and much more.  His construction background includes a portfolio of diverse projects including roofing, exterior renovations (siding, windows, doors), complete kitchen and bathroom remodeling, flooring, special custom projects, and more.  Trent has been married to his wife, Heather, for over 26 years and they have 3 grown kids.  He has been very active in his community having been a former volunteer youth baseball coach (FMYSA) and basketball coach (YMCA) for many years, as well as starting an independent club baseball team.  Trent's oldest son, Wyatt, works with him in the business.  His daughter, Mary, is a recent graduate from the University of Texas in Austin.  His youngest son, Wesley, is a sophomore at Flower Mound High School where he is active in multiple sports.  Wesley also works part-time with them in the business.
